◆ Basement Gut-Outs · Oakland County, MI

Back to bare block,
ready to reimagine.

Dated framing, drywall, drop ceilings, old flooring, and built-ins stripped out across Oakland County and Metro Detroit — contained and hauled clean. Gut it only, or take it all the way to a finished basement.

Option A

Gut-out only

We strip the basement back to bare block and open joists, protect the stairs and upper floors, and haul it all out — a blank canvas for whatever's next.

Contained and hauled

Walkthrough & scope

We confirm what's out and check for moisture, mold, or water intrusion first.

Protect the path

Stairs and upper floors protected; containment at the top of the stairs so dust stays down.

Disconnect utilities

Power, water, and any gas to the basement handled safely.

Strip & haul

Down to bare block and joists, hauled out the same job — no piles left behind.

Broom-clean handoff

A clean, dry shell — for your crew, or our finishing team.

Straight answers

Basement gut-out FAQs

Can you gut it and leave the finishing to me?

Yes — a gut-out-only job is common. We strip it to bare block, clean up, and hand it over. Or we can finish the basement too, all under one contractor.

My basement had some water. Will that be a problem?

We'll check for moisture and water intrusion during the walkthrough and while we strip it. If there's a source to address, we'll flag it before anyone frames over it again — that's how you avoid re-doing the whole thing.

What if you find mold behind the old walls?

Basements are the most common place for it. If we find it, we stop, show you, and handle it properly before continuing.

How do you keep dust out of the upstairs?

We seal off the top of the stairs with containment, protect the path, and haul debris out promptly so it doesn't drift through the house.

If we finish it, can you add an egress window?

Yes — an egress window is what makes a basement bedroom legal, and it's part of a proper finish. We can include it in the rebuild scope.

How long does a gut-out take?

A typical basement strips out in a few days depending on size and what's down there. We give you a real timeline at the walkthrough.
